SENIOR ALERT
Bandit, frost-faced and hair matted, arrived on June 27th, 2016, as a stray. It is more than unfortunate that at 12 years old this senior male, Cocker Spaniel is forced to start over. The stress of this new and strange environment, compiled with his physical issues has made his transition here at North Central difficult. He is extremely sensitive to touch, but is gradually making progress. Every walk, gentle touch, treat, and moment of decompression in our training yard seems to bring him closer to the happy dog we believe he can be. We celebrate his increasing tail wags and his gentle slow trot that seems to quicken as he leaves the kennels for the outdoors. We have hope that in a mature, tranquil environment Bandit can thrive.
His physical pain resulting from his arthritis, understandably, can add to his sensitivity. Upon rescue, Bandit should be taken to a vet in order to customize a senior health plan that will address his needs. Bandit must be rescued before August 10th or he will be humanely euthanized. All of North Central is rooting for Bandit; we wish him a long and happy life. He arrived as a stray – please help us ensure he leaves as pet.
