Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (long coat)
Joey the Dog needs a home
My name is Joey and I’m a 3 year old, 8 lb Yorkie. I was surrendered by my family because I had a cherry eye and they could not afford the surgery to fix it. SCP and Dr. Roof fixed me right up! I get along great with other nice small dogs, but prefer that there are no cats in the house. I LOVE people! My favorite place to be is on the couch or in bed with my person. I’m learning to keep myself busy with my Kong and playing with toys. I am pretty much house trained, but since I was just recently neutered I might still mark a spot or two for a few days. I will need time to adjust to a new home. When I go to a new place I get a little bit anxious and whine for a while but after a few days I feel very secure and I settle in nicely. I would do best in a home with children over 10 years old. I am good on a leash and love walks. I’m a very happy boy who loves to cuddle If you have time to spend with me I will love you forever. I will be attending adoption events starting on Saturday 2/17/18. No pools please.
Adopter for Joey must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit is required prior to Joey going to a new home.
Adoption fee for Joey is $250.
