Hubba, Hubba Hicks is in the house!
Our 2 1/2 year old Catahoula/Lab mix is a looker named Hicks. Hicks joined our rescue when he was surrendered to a kill shelter in GA. He was surrendered with a pure bred female Catahoula who was rescued by a different Rescue. Well we weren't about to leave this guy behind. And boy did we make the right decision. At 64lbs, Hicks may think he's a lap dog and should give you a bath with his kisses, but he's a kind, mellow, gentleman.
Hicks is house trained and doesn't need to be crated when you leave. He's not destructive in the house. He loves everyone and just likes to be close to his people. Hicks would make a perfect addition to almost any family!
Hicks had runny eyes when we first rescued him, but they have since cleared up. He's neutered, current on his vaccines and healthy. Hicks is being fostered in NJ and anyone approved to adopt him should be willing to meet/greet/adopt in NJ.
~~The Last Resort is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
