Adopt a Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Kobe.  This handsome fella has had a difficult start in life.  Picked up as a stray in St. Paul, he was impounded for awhile. After his owners didn't claim him he was moved to a shelter environment in hopes of being adopted, but he kept getting passed over. We don't know why - Kobe is one handsome hunk.  After more than four months in the shelter, Kobe began getting stressed out with no way to burn off so much pent up energy that a young dog always has.  Sadly, he was scheduled to be put down, but thankfully The Rescue Crew had a wonderful foster willing to open their heart and home to give this sweet boy a second chance at life. So, we saved him.  

This young man LOVES to play, he recently was introduced to a flirt pole and he just loves it.  But, he is young and is distracted easily.  Like by a squirrel or a leaf blowing across the yard!  He would love a running or walking partner!  Kobe has some finer tastes in food, like spinach smoothies and apples.  

Right now the world is all about him and his human.  He will do just about anything to get your attention but he is learning that the world isn't all about him, but it is going to take a disciplined house and a strong leader.  If he is exercised physically and mentally, he is your best cuddle buddy ever!

Kobe is able to play well with other dogs, but with slow and proper intro's.  His play style is a bit "in your face", which is not for all dogs, others don't care so much.  But after the initial meet, he is able to settle into a very nice play with the other dog.  We do not know how he is with cats, but he is does great with older children.  We are just afraid that he might knock over a smaller child (he's young, he's learning!).

This young dog will make anyone a very happy addition to your family!!
