Sasha #3 (White Toy) the Dog needs a home
Sasha came to our attention at Christmas. Her person, the person she had lived her whole life with had fallen ill and was placed in hospital. Sasha was left alone in the apartment for weeks, with someone coming in to look in on her. But she didn't have a family anymore. When asked if we would take her in, we said, "of course!"
Sasha truly won the hearts of everybody she met. A little shy. Intimidated by big dos. You just wanted to scoop her up! But she can be grumpy and doesn't really want you to pick her up. She needs time to warm up to you and to accept your affection. Thankfully she is good at warning you when she is uncomfortable.
Sasha will need an owner who is patient and willing to work with her on her terms. To respect when she doesn't want to be touched. Our foster family is slowly gaining her trust, but even they have learned to back away when Sasha has had enough.
