Meet Zola! She is a beautiful, blue-eyed Great Pyrenees mix born around 03/11/2017. Right now, she’s still a puppy; we think she will be around 70 pounds when full-grown.
She is looking for her new forever family! Her first family had to give her up when they had to move.
Beautiful Miss Zola is a lover. She is very affectionate and loves everyone. She is also very good with children. She will greet you with a lot of love when she sees you and is always up for a belly rub. She can sit, stay, and lay on command and responds very well to training. She is a people pleaser, smart, and easy to train. She will even fetch a ball!
Zola loves to be outside and loves playing with other dogs. She will sleep at your feet after a good play session. She has the typical energy of an 8-month old puppy, but is not overactive.
We require that her new family have at least one adult dog to help her learn proper doggy manners. She loves to play with the big dogs in her foster home. She loves romping outside with them and hopes that her new home provides lots of room to run. While she is more of an alpha (bossy) dog, she plays well with others. She shares her toys nicely. She is learning nicer table manners while eating - meaning foster mom is teaching her to be less food aggressive with dogs.
She has not been cat tested at her foster family, but her previous owners stated she is fine with cats.
Zola is house trained, and can be trusted when her humans are gone away, as long as she has chew toys, bones, and dog buddies to entertain her. Just don’t try to put her in a crate! She hates it, and will fight for her life to get out. She is quite well behaved, so she doesn’t need one.
Zola walks very well on a leash and loves daily walks! She does not pull and stays by your side. Zola has never met a stranger and will try and greet everyone she sees with a wagging tail and affection.
She doesn’t love car rides, but behaves fine while in transit.
She would do best with a fairly active family that likes to take her places and likes to interact with her a lot.
If you are looking for a new best friend and have lots of energy, Zola is your girl!
Zola is available exclusively in the Houston area.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) These puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
2) Homes with youthful, playful dogs provide the pup with a mentor which facilitates a smooth integration into your household.
3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must be home at least part of the day. If you are away from home between 8-10 hours a day, please do not apply for a puppy as this circumstance is unfavorable for you and the puppy.
4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees experience or knowledge.
5) You must have a plan in place to properly socialize your puppy.
6) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to submit an application. We are continuously working through applications, including those that were received in advance of yours. It is very likely that by the time your application has been approved, the puppy may no longer be available.
7) Please do not inquire about a puppy's availability; the puppy is still available if the listing is displayed. Emailing for status updates will only result in a delay of your application review, and put you to the back of the line.
All of the individuals responsible for reviewing applications are volunteering what little bit of time s/he has in addition to their own dogs, families, careers, and responsibilities. Though we do our best to evaluate ALL applications swiftly, submissions for adult dogs do take priority - there are an abundant amount of people that only want to adopt a puppy.
All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing.
