Nugget the Dog needs a home
Nugget joined our rescue on Saturday, February 3rd coming to us from a shelter in Kentucky. We are not sure if he came into the rescue as a stray or an owner surrender.
Nugget is approximately 4 months old and weighed 21 pounds at the vets. We believe he is a beagle and hound mix and will probably grow to be somewhere around 45 to 50 pounds. This boy is as sweet as they come!!!! He is just a happy pup and loves everybody :-). He is very well behaved in the house and is rather quiet. The only time he barks is when the house dogs start barking! We are working on the house training, but he is still learning. He has not been much of a chewer and loves the big basket of toys in the kitchen.
Nugget does fine with Rosie (another foster dog) as well as all the house dogs. He would do fine with a family with children as well. He should be available for adoption starting the weekend of 2/17 as long as he is healthy.
Nugget is current on vaccinations, however, is too young to be neutered yet. Our vets recomment 6 months of age for that surgery. He has been dewormed and treated with Nexgard (flea & tick preventative) and Interceptor (heartworm preventative). His adoption fee is $300.
