Gigi the Dog needs a home
Meet Beautiful and Gentle Gigi
Gigi, 8 months, spayed female, 22 lbs
About seven months ago, a female stray delivered eight little puppies. There was no shelter, no food nearby. None of the human neighbors had mercy to feed the mother nor offered a shelter for the fur family. Poor stray mother had to walk very far away to find food for herself to nurse the new born puppies. Unfortunately, the stray mom didn’t get a chance to nurse them well. Three puppies were dead under cold weather and starvation. Maybe it was God’s will. A nice lady happened to go visiting a friend in the neighborhood. When she noticed these puppies were about to die, she offered a shelter to take all five puppies back home nursing. It was not an easy job for a single lady to take care of five little puppies. So I volunteered to take care of Gigi and Dino.
I nursed these puppies with warm milk, patting them dried and keeping them clean. With satisfaction, all puppies fall into deep sleep. A week later, these puppies got their eyes opened. How adorable they were. There was a mid age couple came visiting the puppies and found Gigi in connection. I handed Gigi to them and hoping she would be loved and cared that never worried about being abandoned again. Few months later, the wife called me to beg me taking Gigi back because she couldn’t bear to see Gigi being bullied by her husband. I was in anger and rushed to the adopter’s home right after I hang up the phone. When Gigi saw me coming into the house, she was sooooo scared to run inside a crate, hiding and barking. My heart was broken! “She became a timid puppy”, I thought and stepped back to leave her some room to let her know that I came with no harm but help. After Gigi calmed down, the wife handed Gigi into my arms. Since then, Gigi has never barked at me and being very cuddly to follow me all around the next day. I knew her little fragile heart was hurt. I could only love her more and more.
Under intensive walk out and meeting friendly people at parks and public places, Gigi gradually gained her confidence back. I remembered the day when we went to a doggie friendly restaurant; she in fact initially went approaching to a young couple asking for treats. She was a little hesitated to stay closed with the man in the beginning. After the man showed her treats, she walked back to take the treat and staying next to him for another. It was only about five minutes; she easily overcame her fear meeting a man. Gigi is a little shy to meet a group of children for overwhelmed excitement. If children intend to pet her, Gigi accepts without showing any aggression toward anyone. Gigi is in progress everyday. It’s time for her to find a truly loving home who can treasure her goodness and sweet temperaments as who she is. She might be a little slow to warm up for cuddles, but she surely would be a very good home dog to guard the family and being the best friend to love you more than you expect.
