Kane is in a foster home, and is currently not at the shelter. Please find info on how to adopt him below - thanks.
Meet Kane, he's as sweet as a candy Kane! He's a happy and playful goof ball who especially adores squeaky toys and balls. He loves to please his human and knows how to sit, down, wait, stay, and catch treats. And he takes treats very gently. This great guy is energetic and will be happy in an active home where he can join you for long walks, jogs, or hikes in the woods. He is learning leave it, heel, and improving his leash walking skills--he just loves investigating all the new smells. You can help him learn these quickly because he is very cooperative and food motivated. He's already house trained, and does get along with some other dogs. He'll do best in a home with no kids as he's learning how to be more comfortable in their presence. Mr. Kane will be a very devoted companion!
Kane qualifies for the Senior Citizen Discount program: senior citizens or disabled adults with a 'Gold Card for Healthy Aging', or a 'FLASH' card, issued by the City of Seattle, may adopt an adult dog (at least six years old) at a special price. There will be no fee for the adoption itself, and the licensing fee will be half-price!
HOW TO ADOPT - Please fill out a Dog Adoption Application, available at http://www.seattle.gov/animalshelter/forms.htm and email it to the Seattle Animal Shelter Foster Dog Program at [email protected].
