Dixie the Dog needs a home
Dixie has come along way, both figuratively and literally. Arriving at the APA as a Harvey stray, her fosters picked her to give her a warm place to stay while she waited to find a new home. Dixie arrived already potty-trained, crate-trained (with a lil coaxing), and generally well behaved in the house. She really mostly just wants to hang out with her people. Dixie gets along great with her foster doggie sibling and has done well in playgroups. While she hasn't been observed with smaller children, she's done well with older kids. Cats are not known either but her foster home's goats and donkey are of no interest to her, so possibly about how you introduce them. She doesn't bark a lot, seems to know who's friend or foe, and when visitors are over, she will stroll from person to person laying her head in their lap to get pets. Her fosters have had multiple visitors say they wished their dogs were like her. What's not to love? Come meet Dixie and see if she's perfect for your home!
