Max w/ Batman the Bird needs a home
UPDATE 12/27/15: Though adopted in the spring of 2014, Max is back with us (along with 5 of her friends including her mate Batman) and available for adoption, through no fault of her own. Max is a big, beautiful King Pigeon mated to a giant racing pigeon named Batman. They are available as a pair.
Max (shown here with his BFF Sparrow) arrived as the biggest and strongest of three very weak, sick baby pigeons ("squeakers", barely 4 weeks old) packed into two boxes with 9 other pigeons, one of 13 ultimately rescued from being butchered as poultry and surrendered to MickaCoo to find a safe home and live a good life. Max had 2 other young pigeon friends- Sparrow & Daisy, and together they made great progress and got healthier and stronger until Daisy took a turn for the worse. Tragically, she died. Ultimately, Sparrow & Max were adopted into a great aviary home together.
