Adopt a Chihuahua / Boston Terrier (short coat)
Maisel is amazing! the Dog needs a home
Maisel is a sweet, well socialized little girl left to die in a high kill shelter. She was a shelter volunteer favorite, and they kept her off the euthanasia list for as long as they could. Maisel is a little shy when meeting new people, and was quite frightened in the loud, scary shelter. This isn't the best way to attract an adopter. Finally, the volunteers couldn't postpone the inevitable, and this happy loving girl was given 48 hrs to live. When one of our volunteers heard her story, we jumped into action and saved her just in the nick of time! Maisel is practically perfect in every way! She is extremely friendly, loving and devoted. She loves to cuddle, isn't barky or yippy, and loves to play with her foster siblings. Maisel walks very politely on a leash, is house trained and sits quietly on car rides. Maisel put on a few pounds while sitting in a cage at the shelter, but her new family keeps her active and she's already lost a pound! We had Maisel thoroughly examined by our vet, including full bloodwork and a dental. Maisel did great! She is a healthy 9 yr old girl with a lot of love to give and a lot of years left. She is extremely smart, well behaved and quiet unless someone is at the door. Maisel would be perfect for a senior, anyone in an apartment or a family with older children. She's spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies, and microchipped.
