We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Male, neutered, about 2 years old (as of January 2018), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee for David and Goliath together $150.
This handsome tuxedo would dress up any home. He spent the first two years strutting the streets of Chicago. Nowadays, he would rather strut down the hall and dress up your sofa. While he was at Chicago Animal control, he became friends with Goliath (now also an arf cat and on this website http://www.arf-il.org/available_cats.html) and refused to leave for his foster home without his buddy.
If you are interested in meeting David andGoliath, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat. Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way. (JL)

as we cannot hold animals.
All household members must be present at time of adoption, including dogs.
