Barry the Dog needs a home
Barry is a dog who will be your friend for life once he gets to know you. He loves to play and will show you his agility by jumping for a Frisbee or tennis ball & then will sit right next to you when he's tired & just wants some affection or a treat. He also loves going in any kind of water whether it be a pool or a stream & will gladly jump right in anytime. He would require an experienced dog handler. His main issue is an excitability problem. When he sees something that gets him excited for whatever reason (dog, cat, truck, and car) he will redirect on the person walking him or whatever is near him out of frustration. So he needs someone with the time and patience to work with him on this.
The Shelter software sytstem requires that we choose a predominant bree or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to sleect your new companion by considering each dog's individual personanlity and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
