Adopt a Labrador Retriever (medium coat)
JAXX the Dog needs a home
Jaxx is a 9 Month Old Lovable, Smart, Energetic Yellow Lab Puppy. When he was surrendered by his original owner he was undisciplined. As he had been left to run wild in the neighborhood.
In all fairness to the family this was their first dog and they did take good care of him they just picked the wrong breed to start with.
But back to Jaxx. In the past three weeks he has learned to be more disciplined. He now walks without pulling, heals, sides, sits and stays on command. Usually with food being his reward. He no longer bolts or tries to attack his own shadow and doesn’t jump up on people anymore.
He loves to play fetch and play with other dogs. The other dogs need to be his size because he plays rough. Jaxx just wants too please and if I was looking for a forever dog he would be it.
Jaxx needs to go to a home that has experience with Lab Puppy’s and is able to continue the obedience training that he has been going through for the past 3 weeks. Although we have a cat in the house he tries to chase it every chance he gets. He is a Lab Puppy and likes to chew so close watch needs to kept of him. When we are out of the house he goes to his crate and sometimes voluntarily when we are in the house. When in the house he lays on his bed beside my desk or in front o the fireplace and at night sleeps on his bed beside my side of the bed. He is a sound sleeper and doesn’t snore. in fact I need to wake him most mornings. I would not recommend Jaxx to a home with small children under the age of 10 or 12. He needs lots of exercise and having a fenced in yard or a trip to the dog park daily is desirable to help him burn off puppy energy. A tired Lab is a good Lab!
