Patch the Dog needs a home
Brief Story: Patch was found around Sendera Ranch Drive, Magnolia, TX. Neighbors were trying to catch him for weeks. We volunteered to give him a temp home (foster) until we could find the owners or a forever home, because it is not in our plan to have any pets at this moment. After a month of posting flyers on stores and social media, and nobody claimed him, this sweet dog looked abandoned :'(
We hope to find a family for Patch that will love and treat him like a family member, take care of him and will give him a forever home.
Patch is a protector dog, will bark or growl when someone unfamiliar comes to the house. He is shy and reserve with strangers, but he will warm up after that person is being introduced a few times giving him some treats until he gets to know you. He is the sweetest and loving dog. Patch is house trained, he will whimper when needs go to the bathroom, he does not chew or jump on furniture. Patch is very smart and obedient, he understand some commands and if you raise your voice we will know he did something wrong.
Likes:
- Patch loves to go for a ride or a walk (he will swim, if you let him) and behave well on a leash but sometimes gets over excited when another dog approaches, because his protective personality.
- He loves attention, he will follow you around the house and be by your side if possible.
- He loves to be brushed and petted by his owners.
- He is more indoors when is too hot outside, but enjoys to be outside in the mornings or when the weather is nice and cold.
- He loves treats on top of his crunchy food.
Dislikes:
- He does not like to be petted by strangers.
- He does not like to go in a kennel (crate).
- He does not like to be alone for extended period of time.
- He does not like dog parks.
