Scooter and Kira the Cat needs a home
Hello, My name is Scooter and this is my little sister, Kira. We used to live with our mommy in her condo and then she had to go to an assisted living facility. Luckily, we were able to stay with her until now. Our mommy had to go into a skilled nursing facility and we could not go with her. We miss her terribly and are confused. We are still at our apartment but must vacate by 10/31/15. We are both healthy, neutered/spayed indoor cats. We have no medical conditions & take no medications. The problem is that I turn 12 on 10/31 and Kira, who was adopted at approx. age 1 or 2 is now 8 or 9 years old. I try to be brave for Kira because I don’t want her to worry but, between you and me, I’m really scared. I know what happens to cats like us if we don’t find homes. My human sister, Kelly, can’t take us. She has contacted dozens of shelters and rescues. No one will take us either because they are “at capacity” or because of our ages. We are both good kitties. We don’t do any of the behaviors that some bad kitties do, like scratching, spraying or biting. I am very outgoing and friendly. Kira is a bit shy but is very loving once she warms up. I am asking you to please consider fostering me and/or Kira in order to give Kelly more time to find us forever homes. She will supply our food and litter as well as pay for any veterinary expenses that may arise. We understand we may have to say good-bye to one another but we are not ready to say good-bye to our lives. We have a lot of life left in us. We promise to be good companions as we have been to our mommy. PLEASE FOSTER US. We want to live. (10/17/15)
