Adopt a Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Phillips (LR) 8.1.16 the Cat needs a home
Phillips was rescued from his foster mommy's yard in November 2016. He started to show up every night to snack on any leftover food placed outside for the feral colony. After he was trapped,
within two days
he learned how to purr. The rest was history. His personality is shy at first requires a slow introduction otherwise he will hide. He loves cats for sure. Dogs, well he is ok with dogs but he won't be a dogs best friend. He let her dogs know when too close is too close.
UPDATE: Phillips is a sweet baby that gets along with other cats. He has finally accepted my dogs. He does keep his distance so most likely a new dog will take some introduction and eventually he will be fine. He is very insecure and must be approached slowly. He scares easy and hides. He is a shoulder kitty that loves to hang on your shoulder and specially lay on your chest and give you kisses. He must go to a quiet home where he can adjust easily, so a home with children could be stressful for him.
To speed up the adoption process, please go to
www.candyscats.org/forms
, click on the Adoption Application link and when you have completed the information requested, our volunteer will reach out to you. We do not adopt on a first-come, first serve basis but rather we adopt our cats to their new families according to the best fit for the cat. Again, thank you for your interest.
