Adopt a Blue Lacy (short coat)

I have something in common with a flower, just like the blue bonnet is the Texas state flower, I am THE Texas State dog breed and I am age 1 ½ years and 25 pounds. But I don’t have to live in Texas, I can move anywhere, I will pack my stuff into a bag…okay, I am done packing, I don’t have much stuff, but I do have some baggage in a sordid past…   In my first year of life I was living in a pen in Del Rio as a breeder dog.  I had a boyfriend and yada yada yada I got pregnant. I was very pregnant and then my owner decided to give me away.  A dog lover saw my advertisement and thought that it would be better for me and my puppies if we went to a rescue group instead of another people who might pen me up.  I was very scared and very skinny, except for the huge bulge of babies kicking around in my belly.  Now here is the saddest part, so get a tissue or a friend to cuddle. Me and my babies all got the virus called parvo and one by one my babies passed away.  That was sad times for me, because my hormones were telling me that I needed to feed and clean my babies, but they just weren’t there anymore.  I am a shy dog because in my formative year I didn’t get too much fun time with people. I do warm up and trust people and have come leaps and bounds from where I started, but I still need a very patient and loving family. You have to vow to give me transition time to adjust to a new scary place, because so many new smells and sounds just give me tail tuck feelings. But I am very worth the wait because once you see my tail wag and I give you kisses, you will be patting yourself on the back for being brave enough to rescue a true rescue dog.  Please email [email protected] and tell them you want ME!

GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!!

Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...*****

ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 for adoptions in TEXAS only. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies.  We transport all over the country!!
