Shepherd / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Nova the Dog needs a home

Our beautiful, Nova.

Upon meeting her, you would never believe that she came to us scared, uncertain of humans and ill from infected wounds that had gone untreated.  She is now a happy, confident and trusting dog who has learned to trust the humans around her.

Nova has been through so much in her first year of life, and it is best we don't know all of the details.  But, we can only imagine.  Nova came to us from the Mesquite Shelter, where she had been picked up from the streets.  She had a terrible skin infection that the shelter felt was "road rash".

Nova has recovered physically.  Her wounds have healed and her hair is growing back.  And her smile has returned.  You can find her lounging on a couch, collecting toys and giving hugs to the Volunteers at Take Me Home Pet Rescue.  She is a love, and we want to find her the home that she so very much deserves for the rest of her life.

Nova would do best in a home where she is the only dog, or with a calm male dog who is not reactive.  She would make a fabulous addition to a family where she has room to run and learn to trust.

If you have room in your home and heart for this big lug of a girl, please visit our website and fill out a no-obligation Adoption Application, and we can set up a meeting.  tmhpr.com/adopt

We are looking for a home where someone is home more than not.  Older kids would be great as she is 81 lbs of love.  We are looking for someone who wants to enroll her in training classes to build on the knowledge she has already gained from our volunteers.  Building her confidence and reassuring her she is safe will be Job #1 for her Forever Family.

Nova's birth date is approximately April 12, 2016.

Please visit our website at tmhpr.com for more information. If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please fill out the on-line adoption application on our website.
