CASPER the Cat needs a home

Casper came to Paws and Whiskers when a Good Samaritan heard neighborhood children talking about how they were going to hurt him. Upon arriving here at PAWS, he was fearful of everything, spending most of his time huddled in his litterbox, comforted only by a toy stuffed white rat (he insisted it be with him in his main picture). PAWS employees slowly began to work with him, and learned he’s not aggressive, just very frightened. That must be such a lonely feeling! Bit by bit he's beginning to trust, allowing pets and chin scratches from his favorite people (one employee can even get him to purr and give head butts!).
So this beautiful boy really needs a hero. He needs someone who will accept him just the way he is, and help him to blossom, too, into the loving cat he truly wants to be. Inside this scared guy is a cat with feelings just like any other. He could sure use a friend - and a place to call home. He’s looking for someone with quiet patience and loving attention to teach him to trust again.
