Lucy is a sweet mama dog that had 9 babies in MCAS and was doing the best that she could in a stressful situation. Lucy is/was a great mama to her puppies and passes that watchful eye and protecting nature on the other dogs in her pack too. She feels that all the dogs around her are hers to watch out for and take care of -- she is very protective. This protective quality also extends to her/your home - she will help keep strangers out. In her down time Lucy is just a big couch potato who loves hanging out with her people and chilling. I do not know what her life was like before the shelter but I believe it was pretty rough. One look in her eyes and you can tell that for yourself - she has one eye that is a little cloudy and that slightly affects her vision but it does not slow her down!
Lucy is house trained and dog door trained. She is heartworm negative and up to date on all her shots. She is not so great on a leash and pulls especially when she wants something. She knows sit but that is about as far as her knowledge of commands go. Cat - well they are just toys that run right? Seriously, she likes to follow the cat and if the cat runs she will chase but she has not tried to harm her once. It is just the running that catches her attention.
