Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Roland the Cat needs a home

Roland is one the most special and most loved cats at the shelter right now. He came to us with the rest of his colony in January of 2017. A few days later he tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Feline Leukemia (Felv for short) is spread between cats through the sharing of bowls and litterboxes as well as grooming. This disease is not transmittable to animals other than cats or humans. Felv is a disease that weakens the immune system and often shortens the lives of the cats it affects. Looking at Roland you wouldn't guess a thing was wrong with him and throughout his long stay with us he has had no health concerns. He lives with his best friend Jaime (also Felv positive) and they need to be adopted together as they are constantly by each others side. Roland is a sweetheart, he loves people so much! He gives kisses and can't get enough of people loving on him! He is an amazing cat and we don't want to see him spend any more time in a cage! He deserves a home! His life matters, we will never give up on him. Please send us a message with any questions you might have, we are happy to answer them!
