Jake came in to Coastal and was semi-feral because he was basically used as a breeding dog. His prior owners kept him in the bathroom and when they decided to move they didn't include him in their plans for the move. Understandably, when we got him he had a little attitude toward people, but he's really come around and now he's better with people and phenomenal with other dogs. We're now working on leashing him and taking him for walks. We've discovered that when things go around his neck he gets upset and starts freaking out doing alligator rolls. With time and some patience, Jake, who likely just turned 3 years old, will be a great addition to most families. Could yours be the one?
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
