Sam the Cat needs a home
Sam is the Benedict Cumberbatch of cats - classy, smart, and looks great in a tuxedo. Although we can’t say whether Benedict Cumberbatch would leap into your arms at a moment’s notice, Sam still maintains his grace and composure while he does it. He’s got a sleek, shiny, black coat with a white chest and socks. Sam knows he looks good, as he slinks like a panther around the house.
Sam was adopted from the Tampa Humane Society as a kitten. He’s moved several times, and has no problem adjusting to new environments. He quickly adjusted to life with his fur-brother, and would happily wrestle, stalk, groom, then pointedly ignore any future fur-brothers or sisters. However, Sam might not play well with children who don’t understand cat body language.
Like the characters Cumberbatch plays, Sam is often misunderstood. He loves people, but needs to warm up to strangers and only likes to be touched on his terms. In a home of adults, Sam is an ideal cat. He is loyal and affectionate. Sam will greet you at the door when you get home and herd you to the couch to put your feet up after a long day. He’s always in the same room as you, but only occasionally lets you know that it’s your sole purpose in life to scratch his face. He loves to explore new places and isn’t afraid of anything. He’s not food motivated, but he will chase down a treat or two if you throw it down the hall. He will most certainly rub his face all over any surface that you sprinkle catnip on. Sam can most often be found in his cat bed, on the arms of your couch next to you, or laying on your feet at bedtime.
