Adopt a Tabby (short coat)

Tabby (short coat) Cat

Caramel the Cat needs a home

Meet Caramel, a 2 year old brown, female tabby.  On July 2nd, 2015, I received a phone call from the TSC dock worker. He told me that a young cat had her kittens right there on the loading dock. I raced to the store and found the wet newborn kittens on the dirty, dusty, concrete, way back in a corner. I quickly placed a thick towel under them and placed a trap with food and water out for mom. After watching from afar, I saw mom/Caramel come and move her babies to a box in the gated area. Another rescuer and I watched for a day before we moved in and took the kittens, placed them safely in a trap, and awaited while Caramel came into the trap to get her babies. I was watching nearby and took them immediately.

Caramel allowed me to pet her after only a week or two and I gained her trust. She was an awesome mom and is now ready for a home of her own. She is very quiet and unassuming, loves to watch out a sunny window, and is interested in people. She will blossom into a great house cat in a quiet home.

Her new home must be an indoor only, quiet/low activity with older kids (teenagers). Caramel currently rates a 6/10 on our socialization scale, with 10 being a purrfect house cat.

Caramel is spayed, currently up to date on vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia, and is microchipped. For more info on this sweet girl, call Lynn at 540-825-3744 or email [email protected]
