Hi there, I live on Cape Cod MA and was curious if you could help with finding a new home for my best friend Meeka a 7 year old pit mix
I rescued a beautiful pit mix from a home of neglect. That was almost four years ago now. I'm having a baby and moved in with my girlfriend. Meeka has always shown aggression towards dogs but had lived with cats since I'd rescued her. Meeka seemed to be acclimating to the new home but after a few weeks bit our other dog after feeding. A week later she bit our cat while my girlfriend's 5 year old daughter was eating lunch.
We have since moved Meeka to a home we own that is vacant. We visit several times a day and she has indoor outdoor access to a warm furnished home. She is a gorgeous sweet loving dog but needs to be in an home being the only pet. She has never had issues with children but after biting the dog and then the cat I would not recommend her to be placed in a home with children because of the potential risk there
Unfortunately at this time we need to find Mika a new home because although she has a warm comfortable home it's no life to live for loyal loving dog like Mika. I'm curious you if you could help with a courtesy post or help place Meeka in any way you could help. We currently live on Cape Cod, MA
Hi write up a did - Hi I'm Meeka. Im a seven year old queen. I am incredibly loyal and loving. I'm protective of the ones I love. I have never gotten along with other dogs. I've never had issues with cats until only recently. My person rescued me from a home of neglect where I developed pancreatic disfunction due to the stress I was under. I require medicine with every meal so I can lead a healthy life. I love my person and would do anything for him. 
...Meeka is an incredible friend, pet, companion and is considered by me to be like my blood. Recently I met a girl, we fell in love and are having a baby boy together. Meeka and I moved in with her, her dog cat and 5 year old daughter. Meeka was acclimating well until she bit our other dog during feeding. An unfortunate incident created by comfort and negligence. We placed her dog with family so Meeka could be the only dog in the home. The following week Meeka bit our cat, again an incident involving food. That cat survived after immediate medical attention. Meeka has lived with several cats since her rescue without incident. Again, a incident created out of ignorance and carelessness. Meeka is an incredible life mate but requires a new home
I am in search of a new home with a loving person or couple. My new home must be pet free and it must remain pet free. I would not trust myself around young children either. I can be strong willed and pushy, which is why my new life mate must be strong-willed confident and above all else loving. The medication I require is $50 a month and it's a must. Sadly I'm unable to digest food without it.
