Donovan the Dog needs a home
AN ACTIVE LITTLE GUY: 3 years old / 12 lbs. Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. I’m a little pistol who’s ready to be active and have fun with my family. Some Shih Tzu/Poodle mixes are calm and just want to sit nicely with their family, but I like to be more active and I’m very alert! I’m not a fan of other dogs and react to them negatively, so I should be your only dog and cats are unlikely too. Due to not liking other dogs, I shouldn’t live in an apartment/condo type home as those quarters are to close to other dogs on leashes. I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard, so I won’t have to walk around other dogs and strangers on a leash, since I pull a lot trying to get to other dogs and there was one elderly person with a cane that I lunged at. I’m not sure if it was the cane or exactly what made me do that. In general, I’m initially a little hesitant with new folks, but I have been warming up nicely to the volunteers at the MM facility. My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule and in a home, I went to temporarily, so, hopefully that will translate to potty trained in my new home too. I came to MM’s with a lot of staining on my underside and hind quarters, but as it grows out and is trimmed off, I’ll look adorable! I’m super food motivated and will dance and perform for treats! Energy level: 6 - 8. Best with much older kids as I simply haven’t been around kids at the shelter yet and due to my strong reaction to other dogs. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
