This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
This handsome fella is Clipper!
Clipper has a beautiful sleek black and white coat and appears to be a heeler/lab mix who is about 10 months old. Not only is he handsome, he is wicked smart - he knows commands in both English and Spanish!
Clipper is an active boy, and always looking and ready for the next adventure. He is very sociable with other dogs, but can sometimes be a bit much. He is always eager to play and play rough, and he hasn't learned yet that not all dogs appreciate that. He would love to have a canine buddy in his new home his size and energy level to romp with, but would also be fine on his own. He has lived with a one-year old boy and done very well with him. He can be a little mouthy when he is excited, but he follows correction well and is in general a very friendly pup.

a big goofball with lots of spunk and play! He was friendly with cats as a puppy, but has not been around them for a while so that is an unknown.
Clipper is already crate trained.
He pulls on a leash, so an Easy Walk harness (included with his adoption from SOSARL) is a must and makes walks so much more enjoyable.
He was house trained, but has had some lapses recently due to the long hours he was left alone. With some regular potty breaks and positive reinforcement, we expect him to be back on track soon! Even though he already knows some basic commands, we still
recommend that his new adopter attend obedience classes with him to develop their own communication style and bond further with him. He would love a
fenced yard, but as long as he gets daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park, he will be happy. He does like to lounge and cuddle after a good round of exercise. A tired dog is a good dog and this is especially true of Clipper! He would also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games.

s backstory: Clipper was one of six boys in t
he Cafe litter, puppies
who were
adopted into New England homes by SOS in the summer of 2017.
Due to a change in his human's circumstances, he
is now back with SOS and looking for a new home. His people were very sad to have to rehome him, but we know that there is a great new home and life waiting for him out there.
