Adopt a Miniature Schnauzer (short coat)
NICCO (SRC#1935) IN CAROLINA BEACH, NC the Dog needs a home
My name is NICCO and I am a tiny senior at only 11 pounds -- my age is 12 and I was abandoned by my family when I needed them the most. At a time when I should be enjoying my last few years, they took me to Animal Control and dumped me! I am a handsome boy and enjoy being a lap baby. I am a Mini Schnauzer neutered male with Natural Ears and a Docked Tail. My color is black and silver. I was seen by SRC's vet and was micro-chipped, and received a dental. I lost most of my teeth but will be able to eat soft food for a while and as my gums harden I will be able to eat dry food once again. I already have all my vaccinations,am heart-worm negative, been neutered and my foster mom has evaluated me for a minimum of 2 weeks so now I may be adopted. My foster mom who is located in Carolina Beach is a great foster parent and has been with SRC for many years. SRC is very fortunate to have her and I am thrilled that she is fostering me! I get along well with other dogs and will do better with another dog in the family to help with my self confidence although I prefer human company to that of other canines.
(SRC#1935) NICCO 's Story
NICCO with this unique identification number: (SRC#1935) came into SRC care recently and is being prepared for adoption by a foster family who have gone thru our approval process. This is an experience foster family so NICCO will get great care! He is a Mini Schnauzer with Natural ears and a docked tail who weighs 11 pounds. He has all his shots and is HW negative. Poor little boy was dumped by his family at a time when he should be enjoying his last years with them. NICCO will do better with another dog in his family to help his confidence level yet he does prefer human company. He is a sweet little boy and loves to be cuddled. He received a dental at Pleasure Island Vet in Carolina Beach and was also micro-chipped. His foster mom says he does not have much experience walking on a leash yet she is working with him to help him learn how to adjust to that. He is house-broken and needs to be kept on a consistent routine to help with his potty training. We at SRC just want NICCO to have that loving home he deserves.
Now ready for adoption this dog will be heart-worm tested (negative), de-wormed, vaccinations brought up to date, spayed/neutered if not done already, micro-chipped, examined fully by a vet and any necessary medical issues found by this vet will have been addressed. It is anticipated that this dog will be released for adoption by the same date as the completion of the Evaluation. The date of release of this dog is at the discretion of the SRC Core Team.
