Gilbert the Cat needs a home

Gilbert came to PRBJ as a stray. He was adopted and then found again as a stray in a feral colony, ending up at high kill shelter. Thankfully the chip came back to Pet Rescue by Judy, and we got our beautiful Gilbert back. We gave him all his shots and tested him; unfortunately, Gilbert came back positive for FIV.  However, this is not a death sentence. The only way it is transmitted to another cat is from fighting and an open wound; not by sharing a litter box, water bowl or sharing food.  Gilbert is so friendly with humans and other cats, and wants to trust. We are sure that with patience and time, he will make a great companion!  He is up to date on all shots and neutered.
