Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)
Blackie the Cat needs a home
This is a courtesy post for a very nice family. Here is what foster dad, Richard, has to say about Blackie:
"Blackie is about 3 yrs. old, a once outside cat. After providing him food and our comfy shelter next to our deck, and several weeks of socialization, we took him in when the weather turned cold. He's friendly, playful, curious, loves to be around you, and seems to enjoy all the new things in a house, including the TV. He is neutered, has all his shots (except the FeL booster), has been wormed and rid of fleas. I'm still treating him for ear mites. Blackie tested positive for FIV, so he would be best in a single cat home, or with another FIV cat. He got along with my daughter's dog, but he and one of our pride do not get along well. We've had two FIV cats before. One we adopted out, and the second, Tux, gave us the pleasure of his company and his love for ten years. So we know FIV cats can enjoy a good life, but we already have four feline companions, including one with special needs. Blackie deserves a good life, too, and he has a lot to give in return."
If you are interested in adopting Blackie, please go to our web site, www.bandocats.org and download an application under "How you can help" and "Adopt." Once you have filled out the application, you can mail it back to [email protected] or fax it to 614-873-0972. Once you are approved, we will put you in contact with Richard so you can meet Blackie.
