Finnegan the Cat needs a home
Finnegan and Lucy recently suffered a family tragedy, when their human mother passed away after a long illness. The two cats stayed by her side during the final weeks, offering soft fur to pet and purrs to comfort. Mrs. B. adored her pets, and worried terribly about what would happen to them after she was gone, particularly as she knew her son planned to reward their years of love and companionship by having them euthanized. Satchel's heard about the sad situation and immediately offered to give the kitties a soft place to fall. Mrs. B. was told by a shelter volunteer that her pets would be safe, and she died peacefully a few hours later.
Finnegan is a gentle and sweet-natured orange cat, who answers to his name. He likes to cuddle and will put his head on your shoulder. Also, he holds conversations with you, making little chirping sounds. Lucy is a stately, quiet brindle girl, easy to pet and with a loving nature. Both are American shorthairs, about seven years old, and have many cat lives left to offer loving companionship to a kindly, human parent who will offer caring and loyalty in return.
