This Hurricane Harvey rescue has had a rough time and is still getting used to being around people. Now in foster care, Esmael likes her new dog buddies, following them around the yard. Then indoors, she spends most of her time in her crate, which she feels is her safe place. She has begun to accept petting from her fosters when she's in her crate or on her pillow, and she will agree to going for walks. So she seems to be gaining some confidence, which will continue to blossom in a home with patient owners who can give her the love and kindness that will help her learn to trust her human friends.
