Velma the Dog needs a home
Animal Profile: Velma is a a beautiful 4-year-old blue pitbull Labrador mix who is sweet and loving and knows basic commands, walks well on leash, is eager to learn "the rules." She is now house-trained. She loves running and jumping in the backyard--she definitely has a silly side--and chasing a tennis ball. She's a very athletic and strong girl and needs lots of exercise. Once she's gotten it, she likes to chill out in the house. She has a great disposition, knows her manners, and is great with other dogs. She can probably be trained to leave cats alone too. She loves to snuggle up close and lay her head on your lap! Velma's story is heart-wrenching. She was confiscated along with her litter of lab mix puppies, with nipples full of milk. The babies were all adopted quickly but Velma was left behind for months. Finally her time was up, but given her rave reviews and wonderful temperament we pulled her to Seattle. She's now spayed and ready for her forever home!
