Senior Special Needs Dog Looking for a Special Someone
Shelby is a 10-year old Pitbull who wants nothing but to lay down with someone and have her belly rubbed. This very sweet girl will give special someone great companionship. She loves to eat and loves to go for an easy walk.
When first rescued 3 years ago she was nothing but skin and bones, her previous owner brought her back from a brink of death. But unfortunately, she recently lost a house and was no longer able to care for Shelby. I am fostering her but she does not get along with my 2 dogs and is having to stay alone in a room during the day while I am at work.
She is diabetic and because of it cannot see very well. Her diabetes is now well under control by twice daily insulin shots.
She is a strong and happy dog who shows no sign of slowing down, but because of her age and condition we are not sure how long she has left. We would like her to be in a loving home where she can be with someone all the time.
