Ares the AMAZING, Sweet Survivor the Cat needs a home
Four weeks ago, on a hot summer day, a Brooklyn Animal Action rescuer got an urgent call from a foster in Bed-Stuy. She had stumbled upon a cat lying motionless in the grass on a park lawn, directly under the scorching sun. The cat appeared to be in horrible condition, with multiple wounds on her body and head. This brave and devoted foster rushed to get a carrier and a towel, then returned to the park to scoop the poor feline up and bring her to the clinic.
The foster and rescuer decided to call her Ares, as they quickly learned that she indeed had multiple injuries and was in overall terrible shape. It seems she must have been abused for some time, as some of her wounds looked fresh, while others had already begun to heal.
After two weeks in the hospital, Ares came out completely healthy, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—and now that her situation is greatly improved, she has turned out to be a super sweet, playful, and affectionate kitty, despite all the pain and suffering she’s already gone through in her short life.
Ares is currently living with a foster family, getting along amazingly with all humans in the home—and with all her fellow kitties, too. She rolls onto her back, trusting the people she’s currently with completely, and plays and snuggles like she hasn’t a care left in the world. She’s an absolute angel with so much love to give, and deserves a forever home that will give her so much love in return.
Ares is approximately two years old. If you’d like to meet this very, very special survivor, contact Gregory at [email protected]!
