Adopt a Dogo Argentino (short coat)
Lucy the Dog needs a home
If you have any questions about fostering or adopting Lucy please contact DC Dogos, Inc directly at and
[email protected]. Lucy is a true gem! This darling girl absolutely adores her humans, both big and small! She is currently in a home where her parents work too much, leaving Lucy understimulated and alone up to 16 hours a day. Lucy would thrive in a home with children and one or two other medium-large dogs. She doesn't do well with small dogs and can take a bit to warm up to new dogs, but once she warms up, she loves to play. As with any dogo, Lucy is highly intelligent and loves learning new things, making her highly trainable. Lucy does have severe gastrointestinal issues and requires a very strict diet. Don't let this scare you!! All this means is you have to keep her on a particular diet and keep her away from eating treats she should not have. Plus, don't let her go garbage diving!! She's currently on a LID of Zignature Kangaroo and takes Fortiflora and cricket powder supplements to help boost her immune system. She is insured through VCA and Embrace Pet Insurance - it's important to keep her health insurance coverage active. Her current monthly costs run $130 for food, supplements and insurance. Any adopters must sign a contract stating they will maintain her diet and insurance. This sweetie LOVES the people in her life and is a total pleasure to have in the home. One of her favorite things to do is play tug-o-war!! She is young and full of life and deserves a fun loving family in return!! Currently Lucy is in Utah and would most likely need to be transported once we find the perfect home for her. Contact us if you have any questions or want to learn more about Lucy!!! Adoption fee $350.
