Adopt a Cocker Spaniel (long coat)

Cocker Spaniel (long coat) Dog

Rudy the Dog needs a home

Oh the love of an old dog!  It is like no other.  Rudy is a 14 year old American Cocker Spaniel.  He was sadly surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away.  You know us - one look and we broke him out!  Shelters are no place for the seniors!

Rudy is an energetic boy for 14 and just loves people.  His little nub wags all day long.  He appears to be housebroken although you should expect accidents with all the bouncing around this guy has had.  He enjoys walking on a leash and behaves well in the car.  He is a little nosy with other dogs but has has no issues getting along with anyone.  He is not crate trained and would prefer not to be placed in one but a dog bed beside your bed makes him super happy.  Overall, Rudy appears to have been loved and well taken care of in his life and we would like nothing more then for him to find a loving home.  Rudy does have a heart murmur, not uncommon at age 14.  There may be a point he would require medication for that but at this point he has shown no symptoms and is just a happy little guy.   Rudy will also require grooming every couple of months so please keep that in mind!

Rudy is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for heart worm and wormed.  He was also professionally bathed and trimmed!  His adoption fee is $100 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
