Rosie-PENDING the Dog needs a home
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.
ROSIE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Rosie is a gorgeous 14 month-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix female who looks almost like a purebred Golden except for her speckled feet. She came to us via a Great Pyrenees rescue after she had been surrendered to them by her owner who said that she was overly protective with toys around their other dog. We have found that Rosie loves playing with other dogs so might be OK in a home with other dogs as long as her new owner is able to work with her on her overprotective tendencies with toys. She also loves people so would likely be fine as the only dog in the home as long as her family has plenty of time to spend with her. She’s still very much of a puppy so wouldn’t enjoy being left home alone for long workdays. Rosie is crate-trained and likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She walks pretty well on a leash for a youngster but with more practice will soon be walking like a pro. Rosie would love to enroll in an obedience class with her new family so she can impress everyone with how smart she is. Rosie weighs about 70 pounds and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. At the time we had her spayed, Rosie had a gastropexy to prevent potential future stomach flip/bloat. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in Rosie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
