Monica the Cat needs a home
Monica was brought to the shelter as a stray when she was 3 years old with a belly full of kittens. This is a very common tale to tell this time of year---Lots of mama cats with lots of kittens. Monica was a wonderful and protective mother to her babies, but they have all since been adopted. It is now Monica's turn to find her forever home. She is a little shy at first, but once she knows you, she will be your best friend for life. Who can blame her for being so unsure? She was forced to deliver babies in this loud and strange environment surrounded by loud and strange animals/people. She loves getting attention from a familiar hand, but would prefer to have all four paws kept on the ground. If you love the idea of truly rescuing an animal, please consider Monica. She will initially make you work for her trust and attention, but once you do, you will have a companion animal for life!
