Standard Adoption Fee Adult Dog: $250 ea.  Puppy Adoption Fee: $300 ea. Reduced rates for Seniors dogs (10 and up).  Reduced rates for pairs (when adopted together).

Bernini will be available, with puppy provisions, on February 23rd, 2018.



Meet Bernini!  He was born into rescue on December 27th to mama, Starry Night.  Bernini is quiet, intelligent, submissive, cuddly, and sweet!  He is on his way to being house trained.  Bernini uses puppy pads very well and is figuring out the doggie door.  Bernini loves to play and would love to have a friend to tire out!  Bernini loves kids, dogs, and could be taught about cats easily.  Bernini has been sleeping in a crate with his siblings since 3 ½ weeks old and finds the crate to be a nice, comforting place.



While we don't know Bernini's genetic makeup, we are pretty sure that Starry is a dachshund/terrier mix and daddy was likely a little bigger breed.  We can't say for sure how big Bernini will get, but we don't think he will pass 20lbs.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!
