Minnie ( aka. Hippo) the Dog needs a home
Minnie could not be any sweeter. This gorgeous gray girl is about 7-years-old and has the heart and spirit of a survivor. She is a wonderful girl who is eager to please her people. Minnie was a stray who arrived at the shelter from Newark and appears to have been used for breeding. She has an old ankle injury that was never set properly, and callouses built from spending too much time on hard surfaces. When Minnie looks at you with her eyebrows raised and creased forehead it is impossible to not drop everything and kiss her.
She seems so appreciative of every nuzzle and cuddle that she is completely irresistible. When Minnie goes for walks her tail wags the entire time—as though she has found her happy place. When she is playing with other dogs she is considerate, yet feisty. Minnie is currently in a foster home with 3 dogs and a child. Because of Minnie's size we recommend a home with older children.
