Beauty the Cat needs a home
Beauty is a very pretty 2 year old DLH dilute tortoiseshell Norwegian Forest Cat mix spayed female. She is very shy and frightens easily. She will need an experienced cat person who is very patient and willing to work with her on her socialization skills. She is food motivated and will even engage in play with string toys once she trusts you. She's doing well with the other cats in her room, esp. her sister, Tink (DMH Torbie - tabby with tortie markings). It would be great if they could be adopted together, but not required. She was rescued from being put down at another shelter, so we don't have much background on her, but we do know that her previous owner's dying wish that they find safe, loving, patient homes. She doesn't do well with children, but she might be O.K. with older, calm children who would give her the space she needs. She will need lots of time and patience and work with social skills. She is food motivated and enjoys sone play once she trusts you. That will help her adjust once she's used to her new home. We also don't know about dogs, but perhaps a calm, cat-friendly dog that wouldn't bother her might be O.K.
