Adopt a Dachshund (short coat)

Dachshund (short coat) Dog

Higgins the Dog needs a home

Higgins is a 10 year old male, weighing 20 pounds,.   Needs to lose a few.

He is sweet and happy.   Good with other dogs, adults and children.

Higgins:

I am a very mellow fellow who is content to go on long walks or snuggle on a lap or in my bed (no crate necessary for me): I don’t feel the need to express myself through frenetic energy. I’m quite cordial when making the acquaintance of new friends—human and canine—and I’m generous with kisses. Don’t be put off by my skin condition (mid-body fur is thin but growing in) and my lumps and bumps; they are just a sign of maturity and don’t bother me at all. As of mid January, I will have been with my foster family for one month, and I must admit I’m still a work in progress when it comes to being house trained. We are working on the schedule that works for me. I am hard of hearing, but I respond very well to hand gestures.
