River (11) the Dog needs a home
River was originally found as a heavily pregnant stray dog who was trapped between some fences on the riverwalk. Animal Control picked her up and released her to us through our "Love of Mommies" program so that she could go into foster care to give birth. She spent several weeks in foster care giving birth and raising her puppies. Her foster mom says "She's beautiful as can be. The sweetest love bug. She loves to cuddle with you especially when it's raining. It makes her feel safe. She's very protective of her family and she is good with older kids. She is great with dogs.
