Penny the Dog needs a home

Penny is a Coonhound mix.  She is 2 1/2 years old.  Previous owner adopted from Amarillo SPCA but decided dog was too big, and couldn't handle.  They surrendered Penny to Animal Control and we have her back at our shelter.  Penny is housebroken, crate trained, very friendly and great with 'older' children and adults. She can sit on command.  Bad habits to watch for are jumping up on people and chasing cars. Penny did seem a bit frightened upon return to our shelter, but volunteers are working with her.  If interested, our shelter location is 11901 S.
