Meet Alvin!

He is a true diamond in the rough! He came in from a hoarding case where he lived with 18+ other cats and 18+ dogs all in the same home. He came to us weighing just over 5lbs! (he is now 9lbs) He was so week, his back legs wobbled and he would fall over walking. His hair was falling out on his tail due to the urine and feces he had been living and sleeping in, along with his pretty white coat being urine stained. After a few weeks with his foster family, a few baths,  good nutrition and extra TLC, he is looking and feeling like a brand new boy! His eyes glow again!! 

Alvin loves to be pet.

He likes to jump up on the couch and lay near you for some pets.

He can be intimidating to shy, or older cats. If there is another cat in the home, he would do best with a female cat, who isn't afraid to be boss. 

He is good with dogs.

He can be playful, but mostly if you initiate play. 

Alvin is mostly a pretty chill boy, who enjoys sunning himself in the window, or any sunny spot he can find.

All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).

Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.
