Dakota the Dog needs a home
Sweet Southern gentleman comes to PA for his Second Chance
Dakota is a sweet southern gentleman. He was found as a stray in NC by animal control. He was saved from a kill shelter and brought to PA. Dakota was Heartworm Positive. We spent an estimated total of 1,200. To get his treatments. Finally, he is finished with the process. He has one more check up in a few weeks to make sure they are gone. Dakota has a few more weeks of down time to complete before he's able to go back to regular activity. Dakota is not altered however, he will be on our next spay/neuter bus on March 15th, 2018. Dakota will need work on his obedience training. Dakota has spent most of his treatment time crated for his benefit. He is crate trained. He is also very much "puppy Like". He's unsure of himself in social situations with other dogs and will usually be reactive at first meet. He has learned to calm down amoungst his foster siblings and just wants to play with them. He got usta getting Love'in and huggy time before going back in his crate. He is such a love!!! His furever home will be carefully selected to best work with him for his continued progress.
