Brandi is a DLH, tortoiseshell, female, DOB 6-21-17.
Sweet, beautiful Brandi needs your help! She is so hungry but she can't eat properly!
Brandi has a condition called "Persistent Right Aortal Arch." It is a congenital defect that causes a band of tissue from the aorta to constrict around the esophagus. Every time Brandi tries to eat, the food gets stuck and is regurgitated.
She has a dedicated foster care provider who holds Brandi upright and feeds her a liquid diet several times a day. She must then continue to be held upright for another 20 minutes after eating. Brandi needs to reach a weight of 2 lbs. so she can have the surgery.
Normally, the cost of this type of surgery could run into the thousands of dollars, but the vet is deeply discounting the cost and another vet has offered to donate her time to do the anesthesia, bringing the cost to just under $1,000.00.

NOTE: All animals are spayed/neutered as soon as practical after arriving at our facility unless there is a medical issue that may cause a delay or they are too young to be spayed/neutered.
